Top shelf to Top Gun—
a region of unexpected surprises

Would you expect to find an estate distillery making 90 proof Gold-Star rated bourbon whiskey in a rural Nevada town of 25,000 people? Would you expect the Navy to send its elite fighters to a rural outpost in the Wild West to hone their air and ground tactics?

Expect the unexpected in Churchill/Fallon, a slice of real Nevada Americana characterized by its small-town charm and big-time agriculture and defense industries. A green watershed in the midst of the high desert, Churchill/Fallon is home to alfalfa and dairy farms and the nation’s sweetest cantaloupe, the Heart of Gold. It’s also home to the Navy’s TOPGUN elite fighter school and SEAL training courses located at the Naval Air Station Fallon, a 240,000-acre tactical air warfare training center with more than 3,000 active-duty personnel, civilian employees and DoD contractors.

HOW WE WORK FOR BUSINESS

When talking about building his Tesla 1 Gigafactory, Elon Musk said, “Nevada is a get it done state.” We couldn’t agree more. Learn more about the ways we help business succeed at both the local and state level.

FIBER-OPTIC INTERNET

CC Communications has deployed a robust buried fiber network throughout Fallon and most of unincorporated Churchill County, upgraded with a fabric core to increase redundancy and resiliency. The fiber network extends from Fallon to the fiber hotel in Reno, datacenters in Tahoe Regional Industrial Center (TRIC), the North Carson Industrial Park, Fernley Industrial Park and Las Vegas. Fiber is deployed to the City of Fallon Business Park, as well as existing fiber slack loops at the Churchill-Hazen Industrial Park (CHIP). CHIP is adjacent to diverse fiber paths capable of entering TRIC from both the north and south and reaching all points on the network. This network provides local businesses multiple paths to the Internet, various data centers, and cross connect facilities of most major carriers.
